Kudos
Last Monday we had a night off so, not surprisingly, we headed off to a live music event!
The Red Rooms at Perth Theatre was hosting an un-plugged evening with Horse McDonald. What a voice that lady has!
She’s been around for some time, yet she never seems to get tired or jaded. In fact, it seemed as if she enjoyed the gig as much as her audience did.
She sang for over two-and-a-half hours non-stop. Well almost non-stop.
In between songs from most of her albums she regaled us with little snippets about her life and how, that being the last gig of her present tour, she was heading off to Australia in a couple of days.
If you know the Red Rooms, you’ll know it isn’t a huge hall, so can be quite informal. It’s a favourite of ours when we want to unwind.
The point is, it was great to see an artiste getting as much enjoyment out of her work as we did from listening to her. It was work for her, but she made it look so enjoyable too.
Which is a great attitude to have about a lot of things. We left Perth feeling as if we’d attended a very special party.
We hope our clients have that sort of feeling about their celebration events the next day.
Kudos, Â Horse!
