The Lengths We’ll Go To!
We’ve been asked to say a bit more about what we mean by “within reason” when we say we’ll travel to a venue – how mobile is our mobile disco service!
As we’ve said, we are based in Dundee but the road system is pretty good for easy travel – west to Perthshire, south to Fife and north/north-east to Pitlochry, Stonehaven, Montrose and Arbroath (all of which we’ve covered on previous gigs).
While we have been known to guest-host karaoke in pubs in Malta and Tenerife as a sort of bus-man’s holiday, we had to turn down a request to play a mobile disco gig in London recently!Â
So, roughly speaking, between one and one-and-a-half hours’ travel time is, we think, reasonable. Remember, your DJ requires an hour and a half to unload and set up his rig so that he’s ready to start when you are! And he has to do the same again, in reverse,  after you’re ready to call it a night. This means that if your event starts at 7.30 p.m. in, say, Pitlochry, then he will be leaving base before 5.00 p.m. A midnight finish means he’ll get back to base around 3.00 a.m. – long after you’re sound asleep and dreaming about the great night you’ve had.
We hope this helps but, remember, we’re easy to contact, so if you’re still not sure… give us a call or post a comment with contact details and we’ll get back to you.
